Shoeps MK2 – Capsule microphone omnidirectionnelle

The omnidirectional pattern on this MK2 captures ambient sounds with stunning clarity, making my field recordings feel incredibly immersive. I’ve used it for several outdoor interviews, and the lack of handling noise is a huge plus. Really impressed with how natural everything sounds.

Picked this up for field recording and the omnidirectional pattern captures room ambience so naturally, it’s like being there. The build quality is reassuringly solid, too—definitely feels like it’ll survive a few bumps on the road.

The omnidirectional pattern is exactly what I needed for recording conversation-heavy interviews—it captures everyone in the room without me having to reposition constantly. The build feels solid enough for field work, though I wish the base cap was a bit grippier on the mic body.
