Blackmagic Media Module 8TB

The transfer speed is exactly what I needed for backing up heavy RAW clips between shoots—it handles 8TB without breaking a sweat. I’ve only used it for a few weeks, but it’s already saved me hours of waiting on set. Straightforward, reliable, and worth every penny for my workflow.

Installed it in the field and was blown away by the sustained write speeds—never dropped a single frame even recording 4K ProRes for hours. The compact aluminum housing also keeps it cool during long takes, which was a big relief.

Finally finished a multi-day shoot and offloaded everything in one go without babysitting it—the capacity is exactly what I needed for 8TB of ProRes footage. Plugged it into the dock and it just worked, no formatting hiccups or dropouts. Solid build too, feels like it can survive the gear bag.
