The manual aperture ring has a satisfying, smooth click at every stop, and the focus throw is long enough for precise pulling. I've been using it for interviews and the image stays sharp even wide open.

Shot a whole indie short with this lens and the T1.5 aperture lets in just enough light to keep the ISO low even in dim interiors. The focus ring has a nice damped feel that makes pulling focus smoother than I expected.

Rented this for a weekend shoot and the 30mm focal length sat perfectly between my wide and portrait lenses, keeping framing versatile without swapping glass. The T1.5 iris gave me creamy backgrounds even in a dimly lit bar scene, and the imperial focus marks were spot-on for pulling my own focus.
